Warehouse Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of warehouses in the assigned geographic territory, including shipping and receiving, purchasing, product delivery, expense control, inventory control, cycle counting, safety, housekeeping, and direction of staff activities.
• Serve as the local point of contact in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager(s) and/or Field Operations Supervisor to balance daily work requirements, facilitate customer deliveries, manage documentation, and provide an outstanding customer experience.
• Assign work duties as needed and drive company trucks for on‑schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Develop and implement improved methods of materials handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficiency, elevate service levels, and reduce costs.
• Maintain a safe, hazard‑free work environment and ensure security, scheduled maintenance, and calibration of warehouse equipment.
• Prepare and load local delivery orders onto delivery vehicles according to scheduled routes.
• Fill in across all branches in the designated area to cover for absences.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate improvement opportunities to management for resolution.
• Ensure appropriate training is provided to and completed by all warehouse team members.

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in warehouse operations, electrical product materials handling, and/or wholesale electrical parts distribution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification if required for driving.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Working knowledge of the Innovo system is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet minimum productivity standards.

Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping; occasional sitting, talking/hearing; frequent use of hands and fingers; comfortable working at heights up to 28 ft. using powered equipment. Continuous lifting and carrying of 1–20 lbs.; frequent lifting and carrying of 21–50 lbs.; occasional lifting and carrying of 51–100 lbs. with assistance or mechanical device. Vision requirements for driving equipment: close vision (clear at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, and depth perception.
