Experienced Groomer

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Groomer to join our small family pet care team. You must have experience . The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and grooming, with experience in handling various animals, including dogs and possibly cats. This role involves providing grooming services while ensuring the safety and comfort of our animal clients. The Groomer will work closely with pet owners to deliver exceptional care and maintain high standards of hygiene and appearance for animals.

Must be able to perform job without supervision. I’m not a corporate business so we do things differently and being creative. Very high volume salon.

• Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling according to breed standards or client specifications
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure both pet and staff safety
• Support each other with animal handling during times of need
• Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work areas to uphold hygiene standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
• Assist ikennel duties when required, ensuring animals are well cared for during their stay
• Handle heavy lifting of animals or equipment when necessary, following safety protocols

• Prior experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or kennel work is preferred
• Ability to handle various animals including dogs, cats, goats, guinea pigs.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and their well-being
• Certification or training in pet grooming, animal care, or related fields is desirable but not mandatory at least 1-2 years experience

Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week
