Hudson Technologies Inc., a leader in sustainable refrigerant products and services, is seeking a Service Technician II to support HVACR and refrigerant management operations. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair refrigerant and HVACR-related equipment for industrial and commercial customers, perform diagnostics, leak detection, and system efficiency checks, and handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA and environmental regulations. You'll document all work, follow strict safety standards, collaborate with internal teams, and engage in ongoing training while helping customers meet performance, cost, and regulatory goals.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair refrigerant and HVACR-related equipment at customer and company locations
- Perform diagnostic testing, leak detection, and system performance checks to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Handle, recover, and reclaim refrigerants in compliance with EPA and environmental regulations
- Document work performed, parts used, and refrigerant handling in service tickets and compliance records
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to resolve technical issues
- Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures while on-site and in the shop
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and equipment status
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and testing equipment in proper working order
- Participate in ongoing technical training on refrigerants, reclaim processes, and HVACR systems
