Job Title
Job Description:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a Bachelor's program and eligibility to apply for an Emergency 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit or a Substitute Teaching Permit for Prospective Teachers. If you hold a 30 day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit or credential, please attach it to the application. Letter(s) of Reference (minimum of one letter) Resume Upon hire we will assist with the substitute permit application process.
Certificated Salary
Schedule:
- General
Education: - Day to Day Rate: $90 (half day), $180 (Full Day)
- Long Term Rate: $215 (full day)
- Special
Education: - Day to Day Rate: $100 (half day), $190 (full day)
- Long Term Rate: $225
Daily Rate: 1-10 days and/or non-consecutive days
Long Term Rate: 11+ consecutive days in the same class/assignment
Long Term Special Ed. Rate:
Applicable Special Education Credential required for assignments lasting more than 10 days in the same class/assignment
SMBSD Certificated Substitute Incentive Program:
Certificated Substitutes will receive the following service stipend for cumulative number of days served substituting for SMBSD: $750 service stipend triggered at 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140 and 160 days
A total of $6,000 in service stipend are available over the course of the 25-26 school year
Payments will be provided as an "Add-On" after days of service noted. This pay may be distributed a month or two after your 20th day is worked

The substitute calling service (Frontline:Absence Management) is managed through Santa Maria-Bonita School District. Substitutes receive jobs by way of an automated/online system (Frontline)
