Consumer Loan Specialist

Salary Range: $21.06 To $24.50 Hourly
SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Consumer Operation Supervisor, the Consumer Loan Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties related to all consumer loan processing administrative functions, as well as support functions related to a variety of member and dealership loans. Duties include but are not limited to data entry, filing, document preparation, auditing, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. Works directly with members and/or coworkers to develop, expand, and maintain positive consumer lending relationships.

- Back up to Funding Team by working closely with Lending Specialists and Relationship Specialists on loan fulfillment, including sending and receiving loan documents when needed.
- May provide feedback on the Direct funding process and procedures to help increase efficiency for the Department.
- May provide quality control for all loans prior to funding. Reviews of all applications for regulatory compliance and performance
- Maintains all aspects of approved employee loans including the maintenance of loan records, documents, and files.
- Maintains quality control, tracking and archiving new account signature cards and updated questionnaires for Indirect Loans.
- Maintains and provides feedback on the daily, weekly and monthly consumer loan automated reports
- Process all adjustments and changes on consumer loans, including internal Guaranteed Asset Protection and Major Mechanical Protection
- Communicates and compile reports regarding early product cancellations to leadership
- Assist fellow employees in understanding how their payments are posted to their accounts.
- Responds and resolves dealership and member problems and requests, when necessary, and assists with completion of forms and documents for loan changes and adjustments.
- Performs within the lending limits approved by the Board of Directors.

PQ and its application process. - Understands Origence and its application process.
- Works cooperatively with members, dealers, and fellow employees.
- Understands and remains current on LOANLINER® documents and resources.
- Completes quarterly compliance training on all aspects related to Consumer Lending
- Perform duties as assigned by management and may be assigned to work at any location.
- May prepare and provide reports to management on the daily, weekly, and monthly progression of Consumer Loans’ performance to budget analysis.
- May prepares Indirect letters and new member packages.
- May verify information with members when required.
Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending procedures, practices and policies and credit fundamentals as would normally be acquired through five years’ experience in branch operations and/or loans.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.
KnowledgeExperience with Symitar® and Loans PQ®.
CA DMV policies and procedures.
Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
OtherSkills and Abilities
Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.
Ability to travel, attend, and participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long-distance travel and overnight lodging.
