Financial Solutions Specialist

Full-Time Non-Exempt Regular Santa Maria, CA, US

Salary Range: $24.00 To $24.50 Hourly

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Financial Solutions Manager, the Financial Solutions Specialist performs a variety of member transactions and performs advanced problem resolutions. Provides a high level of responsiveness to member inquiries by phone, email, in person, or digital platforms. Promotes and maintains a positive image of Coast Hills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Processes request to close business membership accounts.
  • Opens and closes IRAs, trust, special accounts and additional shares, and perform transactions on such accounts.
  • Assists with the onboarding of new membership and promotes credit union products and services to enhance member relationships.
  • Builds relationships with new membership using the New Account Follow Up model.
  • Responds to members through digital communication channels, ensuring timely response and that accurate information is provided.
  • Performs a variety of duties related to death claims.
  • Processes all wire transfer requests received via phone, email, fax, or digital platforms.
  • Performs advanced problem resolution and account adjustments.
  • Process members check order requests.
  • Responds to member problems and requests, when necessary; assist with completion of forms and documents.
  • Resolves complex member complaints, transactions and errors.
  • Performs quality control of branch documents to ensure compliance and minimal audit exceptions.
  • Assists in completing forms and documents.
  • Resolves errors, member problems and/or complaints in a timely manner.
  • Process all foreign currency requests received from branches and members with CXI access.
  • Assists members with digital banking resets in Support Dashboard.
  • Assists members with ECM requests processed through SWBC.
  • Monitors and assigns LSI tickets in LSI Service Link website.
  • Assists members with Web Bill Pay in Partner care Program.
  • Responds to member correspondence through CU Email groups.
  • Performs Contact Center Specialists essential functions as needed.
  • Acts as a backup to the Financial Solutions Administrator.
  • Acts as a backup to Call Center email groups, including Member Service, INFO and ECM.
  • Regularly attends and participates in in-house training.
  • Performs duties as assigned by management and may be assigned to work at any location.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • One year of customer service and/or cash handling experience in a retail or banking environment.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • None.
Knowledge
  • Successful completion of core competencies certification within six months of hire.
  • Knowledge of consumer and real estate loans, including processing and funding.
  • Successful completion of Member Services Officers 2 and 3 certifications prior to beginning in position.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union products and services highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities
  • Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.
  • Ability to travel, attend, and participate in training and meetings at various locations.
