Assembler
Job Summary:
Gavial has an Electronics Assembler position open that requires Soldering experience that is used in the process of assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties.
- Must be able to solder components
- Assembler must read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel or printed wiring boards.
- Assembler connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Manufactures cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, co-axial cable, twin-axial cable and fiber-optic cable.
- Assembler installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Assembler performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
- Performs online inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
- Previous experience in electronic assembly or a related field is preferred.
- Electronics soldering experience required (work assembly or hobby related experience). J-STD-001 soldering certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Soldering experience required.
