JOB SUMMARYThe Supervisor Materials Planning provides leadership and operational oversight for the Planning function, directing material scheduling, procurement coordination, and inventory control activities in support of Elevate seat manufacturing. This role ensures the timely, compliant, and cost-effectiveness availability of materials to meet production schedules, customer delivery commitments, and regulatory requirements while proactively mitigating part shortages.

- Lead daily material planning operations to support uninterrupted aircraft production and assembly.
- Drive planning strategy to align MRP with build schedules, rate changes, and customer delivery commitments.
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans to protect production and delivery schedules.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for material-related production disruptions.
- Improve planning accuracy, supplier performance, and overall inventory effectiveness.
- Standardize planning processes to enhance compliance, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure full material traceability from receipt through aircraft assembly, including lot control, serialization, and certification documentation.
- Maintain compliance with commercial aviation regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Ensure documentation readiness to support internal and external audits (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Support supplier certification and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate engineering changes, service bulletins, and configuration updates with engineering teams
- Develop and maintain MRP to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Manage long-lead, high-value, and specialized aviation components, including structural assemblies and supplier-managed parts.
- Balance material availability with inventory targets, shelf-life requirements, and cost objectives.
- Optimize planning parameters, including lead times, lot sizing, safety stock, and sourcing strategies.
- Ensure accurate and effective utilization of ERP/MRP systems.
- Partner with production, procurement, supplier management, engineering, quality, and program teams to ensure material readiness.
- Support rate changes, new program launches, configuration modifications, and program transitions.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators, including material availability, schedule adherence, inventory turns, carrying costs, on-time delivery, excess and obsolete inventory, and forecast accuracy.
- Analyze supplier performance, demand variability, and inventory trends to optimize planning strategies.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience- Minimum of 5years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or production control within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required; level of leadership responsibility may vary based on organizational structure.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems within complex manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of aviation material traceability, certification documentation, and configuration control requirements.
- Experience managing long-lead, high-value, and engineered components in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and risk mitigation capabilities.
- Effective cross-functional communication and coordination skills across operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions.
- Proven leadership ability with experience developing and guiding teams.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation accuracy and compliance focus.
