School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Santa Maria, CA

• Current and valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of California
• Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing strongly preferred
• CPR/BLS certification (must be current)
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Compassion and professionalism when interacting with students, families, and staff
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergencies

• Provide routine and emergency care to students, including administering medication, treating minor injuries, and monitoring chronic health conditions
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with privacy and school guidelines
• Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics, including hygiene and disease prevention
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and district healthcare partners regarding student health plans and needs
• Assist with health screenings, immunization compliance, and individualized healthcare plans (IHPs)
• Support students with special needs and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
