Responsibilities/DutiesProvide direct, age-specific resident care to assigned residents, incorporating functional and developmental age factors into the assessment process
Complete initial and ongoing assessments, differentiating between normal and abnormal clinical findings, and intervening in accordance with clinical standards of practice and physician orders
Develop and implement individualized plans of care, working collaboratively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in the implementation and evaluation of the nursing aspects of interdisciplinary resident care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and provide care and management of technologically dependent residents
Provide treatment administration, including wound care, ostomy care, enteral feeding tubes, and suctioning
Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate the ability to identify therapeutic resident care issues and determine measures and interventions to promote resident health
Respect resident rights, maintain dignity, and allow for privacy and confidentiality in the provision of care
Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California
Current BCLS certification
RN graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an associate's degree
At least six months prior RN experience in a general acute care hospital setting, or acquired equivalent competency
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
