About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Associate to join a Larchmont Village-based property management team overseeing residential and commercial units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management accounting and a proactive approach to balancing financial accuracy with responsive communication to owners, tenants, and vendors.
This position is fully onsite and focuses on the financial operations that keep our properties running smoothly — from rent collection to vendor payments and account reconciliation. (Payroll is notpart of this role.)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for multiple properties.
- Process and record rent collection sand tenant payments.
- Handle vendor and contractor payments(maintenance, utilities, etc.).
- Reconcile bank statements and property books accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with property owners regarding financial updates and reports.
- Communicate with tenants about balances, collection issues, and payment status.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date accounting records using App Folio.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in property management.
- Proficiency with App Folio preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
