The Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced and collaborative Administrative Officerto provide strategic administrative leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. The incumbent will manage a broad range of administrative functions, including finance, human resources, facilities, IT, and other operational services, ensuring efficient and effective support of the department’s academic, research, and clinical missions.
This position will play a key role in developing and implementing short- and long-term strategies, optimizing administrative processes, managing resources, and supporting organizational goals. The Administrative Officer will work closely with faculty and departmental leadership and provide direction and oversight through subordinate management staff to ensure the department operates effectively and continues to advance its mission. Key functions include, but are not limited to: serving as a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for physicians and behavioral health providers, providing executive assistance support to Medicine-Pediatrics leadership, clinical schedule verification and cross-checking, virtual clinic support, and meeting attendance/taking minutes.
Project assignments may be subject to change depending on operational needs.
Hourly range: $32.20-$51.36

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in related areas and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding time frames.
- Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
