Construction Project Engineer – Full Time Position

The Project Engineer assists with the execution of construction projects including preconstruction, construction phase, and project closeout.

Responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of contracts, subcontracts, plans, and specifications (scope of work)
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation and records including subcontracts, purchase orders, logs, reports, minutes, etc.
• Coordination of permits
• Coordination and implementation of RFIs, change estimates, and change orders
• Coordination of submittals, shop drawings, and samples
• Assisting in review, approval, and processing of invoices, bills, and payments
• Updating and monitoring the project schedule in coordination with the management team
• Assisting with procurement including compliance with specifications and managing long‑lead items
• Working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules
• Completing the project close‑out
• Performing other duties as required to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the company’s standards and the client’s satisfaction

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is required. Minimum one year experience at a construction company preferred. Candidate must have excellent documentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Candidate must be detail‑oriented and have expertise in current software and electronic applications. Successful candidate will be a problem solver with the ability to take initiative.
