Luxury Residential Construction Project Manager
Luxury Residential Construction Project Manager needed to oversee custom home builds from pre-construction through completion. Role includes managing subcontractors, coordinating with architects and designers, maintaining schedules and budgets, and ensuring high-quality execution across all phases.
Position Summary:
The Luxury Residential Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of custom home projects from pre-construction through completion. This role manages complex, design-driven residential builds with a focus on execution, coordination, and maintaining alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets. The Project Manager works closely with homeowners, architects, and design teams throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Lifecycle Management:
Manage all phases of construction including pre-construction coordination, permitting, active construction, punch, and closeout. Maintain continuity from planning through final delivery. - Site and Field Operations:
Oversee daily jobsite activity including subcontractor coordination, material deliveries, and sequencing of trades. Maintain organization and accountability across all trades. - Plans and Design Coordination:
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent. Coordinate with architects and interior designers to resolve field conditions and maintain alignment with project documents. - Quality Control and Execution:
Monitor construction to ensure work is completed in accordance with plans and established quality standards. Conduct regular site walkthroughs and address deficiencies as needed. - Budget and Schedule Oversight:
Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets. Track progress, review change orders, and coordinate with internal and external teams to keep projects on track. - Client and Consultant Interface:
Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners and project stakeholders. Provide regular updates and coordinate decisions with architects, designers, and consultants. - Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, permitting requirements, and jobsite safety standards.
Required
Experience and Skills:
5+ years of experience managing custom homes or high-end residential construction projects Experience working on architect-driven, detail-oriented residential projects Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and construction documents Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in an active construction environment Clear and professional communication skills with clients and consultants Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Excel
Qualifications:
Background in luxury residential construction management Familiarity with high-end materials, custom finishes, and detailed installation requirements Experience working in environments with direct homeowner interaction Ability to manage multiple phases of construction with limited oversight Compensation:
