Dwell Arc Architecture + Design is a well-established sole-proprietor architectural design studio located in Santa Monica.
This position is a subcontractor position averaging 20 hours per week and is available immediately.
Drafter / Designer: This is an excellent opportunity to work one-on-one with a California-licensed architect. Compensation is based on performance and experience. Interested candidates who meet the following criteria should contact us immediately:
Qualifications:- BArch or MArch from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of local municipal codes and the CBC is helpful.
- Experience and knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, and construction techniques are required.
- Well organized, precise, and attentive to detail.
- Proficiency in design concepts and presentation, as well as construction documentation, is required.
- Experience and knowledge of Type V projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must. Sketch Up experience is helpful.
Production drafting, translating pre-existing architectural sketches into 2D CAD files or standard construction documents without managing the permitting process.
Applicants must live in the Los Angeles area.
