Derflan is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support a large global technology company within its North America Stores Marketing (NASM) organization through a high-impact consulting engagement. This is a full-time role based in Santa Monica, California (Hybrid/Onsite as required).
The role focuses on leading Premium Brands product collections and supporting large-scale seasonal initiatives by transforming content strategies into automated, data-driven product experiences powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
The Marketing Manager III will serve as a single-threaded product marketing leader, partnering across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Science, Browse, and Merchandising teams to drive automated product curation and collection programming. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and experienced operating in large-scale, fast-paced environments.

Compensation: $102,000 annual base salary + full benefits
What You’ll Do Product Strategy & Automated Collections Leadership- Serve as the single-threaded Product Marketing leader overseeing Premium Brands collection strategy
- Ingest business requirements and define inclusion/exclusion rules for product collections
- Develop and own Business Requirement Documents in partnership with Product and Engineering teams
- Engineer natural language prompts into Large Language Models to deliver curated collections
- Lead slicing development and regular bug-bashing of live experiences
- Determine appropriate collection filters to ensure bar-raising output
- Partner with content marketers to translate high-level seasonal plans (e.g., Holiday, Thanksgiving, HVEs) into curated product categories and brand strategies
- Audit and QA automated outputs to ensure alignment with event goals
- Support go-to-market narratives and leadership alignment materials
- Lead "walk the store" QA mechanisms for onsite holiday experiences
- Analyze event and collection performance across KPIs such as GMS, aOPS, and page hits
- Identify areas for optimization and implement data-driven improvements
- Collaborate with channel owners to define targeting and experimentation opportunities
- Submit structured feedback to technical partners to improve model performance over time
- Partner with Browse and Merchandising teams to inform page wireframes based on collection makeup
- Coordinate across channel marketing, creative, and merchandising teams to ensure timely execution
- Develop issue trackers and streamline cross-team communication
- Identify and implement process improvements through SOP and RACI documentation
- Quality and performance impact of Premium Brands collections
- Accuracy and rigor of Business Requirement Documents
- Improvement in event KPIs including GMS and engagement metrics
- On-time delivery and operational excellence
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment
- 4+ years of experience in product marketing, merchandising, or digital marketing
- Experience leveraging Large Language Models or AI-driven tools in marketing workflows
- Strong experience translating product requirements into Business Requirement Documents
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating across marketing, product, engineering, and science teams
- Comfort operating in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
- Experience in large-scale technology organizations
- Experience working on seasonal or event-based marketing initiatives
- Experience with experimentation frameworks or recommendation systems
- Experience influencing leadership narratives and presentations
