Freelance with Opportunity for Full Time

Los Angeles Preferred, Open to Remote

We are a You Tube first startup working with sports and entertainment channels to build high performance, format-driven content. Our team is made up of some of the brightest You Tube creative minds in the industry, with billions of views across the channels we’ve helped grow.

We are searching for You Tube writers with a deep understanding of sports, particularly:

• Football
• Soccer
• Basketball
• Tennis
• F1 & Racing
• Golf

This is not traditional sports writing. This is You Tube format writing.

You will:

• Participate in ideation sessions with our creative team
• Develop format driven video concepts
• Write scripts in the style of high performance sports creators such as Jesser, Dude Perfect, SV2, Beta Squad, Deestroying, Futcrunch, Good Good, Bryson DeChambeau, etc.
• Optimize cold opens, mechanics, and stakes to drive retention
• If on set, support real-time story development, refining stakes and structure as events unfold

• You have experience writing for a large You Tube channel or working closely with a major creator’s creative team
• You have a deep understanding of You Tube format structure, retention strategy, and trends.
• You understand the sports creator ecosystem and regularly watch channels in this space
• You are highly adaptable and comfortable working in fast moving production environments
• You have strong knowledge of sports mechanics, culture, history, and trivia
• Sports are genuinely your passion!
• Based in Southern California is a strong plus

This is a freelance role with opportunity for long term collaboration and potential full time growth.

Compensation is structured on a per project basis, including day rates for ideation sessions and separate rates per script. Rates are competitive and aligned with experience and scope of involvement. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process.
