Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

Santa Monica, CA | Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

An independent advertising agency with a strong track record is looking to add a Manager of FP&A to support leadership with clearer financial insight and stronger performance tracking across the business.

The FP&A Manager reports directly to the SVP/Director of Finance and plays a hands‑on role in budgeting, forecasting, and client‑level performance analysis. This is very much a working manager role with meaningful ownership and visibility across the agency. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, exposure to leadership, and the ability to directly influence profitability and decision‑making in a collaborative agency environment.

• Leading the budgeting process as the agency moves toward a more bottom‑up approach
• Managing quarterly forecast refreshes tied to revenue, staffing, and costs
• Analyzing client profitability, margins, and retainer burn
• Utilization and timesheet reporting that drives FTE planning and pacing
• Media spend reporting and reconciliation across systems (Media Ocean and Net Suite)
• Building dashboards and reporting for day/week/month financial visibility

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, or related roles
• CPA strongly preferred (active or inactive)
• Public accounting foundation with a move into industry is ideal
• Agency experience is helpful, but candidates from professional services or other services‑based environments translate well
• Hands‑on Net Suite experience strongly preferred

• Base salary $140K–$180K, depending on experience
• Hybrid schedule: typically 2–3 days per week in the Santa Monica office
• Ideal in‑office days are Tuesdays and Thursdays
