Processing Specialist (M/W/D)

As a Processing Specialist (M/W/D) you are responsible for the processing of chargeback and dispute cases. You investigate payment complaints, decide based on card scheme rules and work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and service-oriented processes. The role is a central component to ensure high service quality, timely processing, and optimal customer satisfaction.
Your Tasks:- Processing of chargeback cases according to the regulations of card organizations (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners, national systems)
- Examination of documents, transaction data, and basic information
- Compliance with all internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements
- Correct documentation and support in the creation of regular reports
- Processing of customer inquiries about disputes in written and telephone form
- Cooperation with other teams
- Use of internal chargeback management systems for case tracking and status updates
- Participation in smaller improvement initiatives in the team
- Accuracy and careful handling of sensitive data
- Secure handling of MS Office
- Very good German skills; good English skills
- Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to process multiple cases in parallel in a structured manner
- Team capability and enjoyment of working with teams across departments
- High service orientation and communication skills
- First contacts with chargeback/dispute topics, fraud, or payment traffic
- Basic knowledge of the rules of card organizations (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) desirable
- Experience in handling internal systems or case management tools is an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Understanding of basic processes in card payment traffic or in customer operations areas
