As a Pool Server, you will uphold Regent’s luxury standards by assisting with service tasks such as serving beverages, taking orders, explaining menu items, stocking supplies, assisting the bartender with ice and restocking, and working with the kitchen to ensure accurate food orders. You will greet and seat guests, maintain cleanliness and organization at the pool, and adjust chaise loungers and umbrellas as needed.

This role requires excellent hospitality skills, teamwork, clear communication, and a focus on quality service.

• Deliver exceptional hospitality to all guests, ensuring attentive, polished, and courteous service at all times.
• Create an outstanding dining experience.
• Use name usage and remember guest preferences.
• Speak knowledgeably about the menu, specific food items, the wine list, and respond to guest inquiries.
• Offer friendly and prompt service.
• Set up and break down the pool area.
• Move umbrellas and chairs for guests as necessary.
• Replenish guest waters and change soiled towels when needed.
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of hourly pool amenities.
• Deliver Forbe’s five‑star service.
• Understand and perform job duties in accordance with Regent Santa Monica’s Service, Food, Beverage, and Wine manuals.
• Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used at the workplace.
• Facilitate written communication.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in food and beverage operations—luxury hotel or fine dining experience a plus.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Know appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Operate well in limited space.
• Maneuver between simultaneous functions effectively.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Participate in a pooled tip system, contributing to tipping out support staff and other essential team members.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $17.00 to $18.90, plus tips
