A leading global gaming and entertainment company is seeking a Service Reliability Engineer to join its Marketing Technology organization. This team builds and operates platforms that power player engagement, loyalty, and revenue‑driving experiences across world‑class digital products. This role focuses on designing, scaling, and supporting highly reliable backend services and cloud‑native platforms operating at large scale. You'll work hands‑on with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and observability tooling to ensure mission‑critical systems remain performant, resilient, and cost‑efficient, while also influencing architecture, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Build and scale backend services that support player-facing features and marketing platforms.
- Design and operate reliable, highly scalable service platforms using open-source technologies.
- Troubleshoot production issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes.
- Contribute to architectural reviews and provide actionable design feedback on new services.
- Share best practices across engineering teams and help elevate reliability standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote strong engineering and SRE practices.
- Influence platform and reliability strategy through hands‑on technical leadership.
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience supporting production systems.
- Strong background building and operating scalable, reliable services.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud experience with Google Cloud and Azure.
- Proven experience migrating workloads from GKE to AKS.
- Experience with VMs (x86 and ARM) and Linux containers.
- Familiarity with Helm, Grafana, Prometheus, Git Hub Actions, and ArgoCD.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of deployment strategies, autoscaling, and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Background supporting high-volume, consumer‑facing applications.
- Experience with game economies, social platforms, or large‑scale engagement systems.
- Strong ownership mindset from design through deployment and long‑term operations.
- Excellent cross‑team collaboration and communication skills.
