Data Engineer, Data Science Manager
On-site in either Santa Monica, Glendale, CA, or Seattle, WA
This role will partner with product management and engineering to translate business value into actionable plans and execute on the delivery of data engineering initiatives. It requires technical understanding, accountability, and collaboration to manage cross-workstream teams. The environment is fast paced and complex, with a focus on launching data platform products and services.

Rate: $80.00 to $85.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities- Lead multiple complex technical programs across engineering teams to launch data platform products and services.
- Partner with engineering, product management, and analytics leaders to drive strategic and tactical objectives.
- Build strategic relationships with key engineering and business leaders to ensure program success.
- Plan and execute roadmaps, releases, and backlogs using agile methodologies.
- Identify risks, resolve project blockers, and establish appropriate resolution paths.
- Fill gaps across roles and functions as needed and act as an adaptive problem solver.
- Develop and execute change management and communication plans, reporting progress and raising issues to stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Manage frequent context switching while maintaining productivity and providing effective guidance.
- 5+ years of technical program management experience focused on data engineering, data platforms, data governance, and/or data analytics.
- Experience leading large-scale organizational change efforts.
- Experience building broad communications plans across active initiatives and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to transform ambiguous data needs into actionable execution plans with high ownership.
- Expertise in Agile software development with Scrum methodology and practices.
- Working knowledge of SQL, ETL processing, and Data Warehousing, with familiarity in Looker and Tableau.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Google Workspace, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Background working with data engineering and data platform teams across end-to-end data flow and data quality.
- Stakeholder and relationship management experience across enterprise programs.
- Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks (preferred).
- BS in a STEM field with 7+ years of experience, or BA/BS with 11+ years of experience. In lieu of a degree, 17 years of relevant experience.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
