Sr. Solutions Architect, Startups; AWS

Do you like startups? Are you an expert in the development and practical application of deep learning and generative AI? Are you interested in the intersection of cloud computing, generative AI, and disrupting innovation? We are looking for technical builders who love the idea of working with early stage startups to help them grow. In this role, you’ll work directly with a variety of interesting customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way.

You’ll have a chance to build enduring relationships with these companies and establish yourself as a trusted advisor. You’ll also learn new technologies, contribute to technical content, and present  offers a broad set of services, and you’ll help startups take advantage of the right ones. You’ll advocate with product teams to build the right products and features for startups, and mentor others on the team.

• Work directly with strategic startup customers to accelerate challenging projects and recommend best-practice architectures aligned with their long-term business outcomes.
• Build technical relationships with customers and operate as their trusted advisor; let the customer’s interests shape the guidance you provide.
• Share the voice of the customer to inform the AWS feature roadmap.
• Participate in creating and sharing best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts).
• Educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences.
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by interviewing candidates and mentoring team members; help others develop new skills.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and customer outcomes.
• Design and implement proofs-of-concept (POCs) and reference architectures to showcase the value of AWS services.

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
