The Legal Operations Manager supports Gum Gum's entire legal operations function. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, the Legal Operations Manager will assist the Legal Team in all aspects of negotiation and management of contracts including inventory/media terms (for all digital media buying) with publishers & network partners. As a liaison with internal stakeholders, the Legal Operations Manager plays a critical role in balancing the workload of the Legal Team, helping internal stakeholders realize business objectives by understanding and adhering to processes, assisting Gum Gum in its compliance and risk management, and improving the overall efficiency of Gum Gum's contracting process.
The Legal Operations Manager must have experience working with purchasing documents (order forms and insertion orders) and the terms and conditions that govern them, with an ability to push towards closure. They should have a solid understanding of the basic mechanics of contract formulation, contractual requirements, standard terms and provisions, including the advertising ecosystem, and a desire to learn more as the industry evolves.
The ideal candidate will have some prior negotiation experience at a brand, ad exchange, or agency, as well as exposure to digital media buying.

Gum Gum fosters a flexible work environment, offering Gum Gummers the ability to work either in-office or remotely/from home. However, for occasional in-person collaboration, we kindly ask that this position be located within a 'commutable' distance to our office.
What You'll Achieve
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical contracts (including MSAs, I/Os, SaaS agreements, and NDAs) with key partners, agencies, publishers, and vendors.
- Act as the primary administrator for legal tools, leading the evolution of our current contract request platform and spearheading the selection and adoption of a new CLM solution.
- Drive seamless collaboration at the intersection of Legal and internal teams (IT, HR, Finance) while continuously identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Develop and deliver ongoing training to internal teams on legal review processes, contracting requirements, policy compliance, and CLM tool adoption.
- Oversee and update the company's legal resource knowledge base, template repository, clause library, and approval matrices to streamline future negotiations.
- Manage the compliance and administration of corporate entities across multiple jurisdictions, tracking vital registrations, annual reports, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a trusted resource for internal stakeholders and directly manage responses to legal or compliance inquiries and questionnaires from clients and partners.
- Partner closely with internal counsel to support complex contract negotiations and regulatory compliance, stepping in to tackle ad hoc legal projects as the team grows.
