Workday Financials Manager
LA, Pittsburgh, or Washington DC – Hybrid onsite 3 days per week
Position Summary:
- Reporting to the Director of the Workday Service Center, you will manage a dedicated team responsible for the seamless operation of Workday Core Financials, Grants Management, Projects, Billing, and Procurement functionalities.
- This role is pivotal in driving strategic partnerships with our Finance functions to enhance system efficiency and support business objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, guiding the planning, development, testing, and implementation of Workday Financials.
- Lead the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and new reports, ensuring smooth system operations and user adoption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain data integrity and support Finance business processes.
- Provide expert guidance on Workday Financials, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Continuously evaluate systems and recommend improvements to support business strategies.
- Manage and support Workday integration tools, including Workday Studio, EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday Web Services, and Cloud Connect.
- Ensure seamless data flow between Workday and other business systems through effective integration management.
- Develop and maintain complex reports using Workday Reporting tools, such as Advanced Reporting, Matrix Reports, and Workday Prism Analytics.
- Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in IT
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Experience conducting full lifecycle implementations, ideally with Workday
- Proficiency in Workday integration tools (Workday Studio, EIBs, Workday Web Services, Cloud Connect)
- Expertise in Workday Reporting tools, including Advanced Reporting and Matrix Reports
Nice to have:
- Experience in Workday Financials Grants Management
- Experience with Prism Analytics
- Familiarity with Workday HCM applications is preferred
