Description

• You're organized, accurate, and comfortable juggling counter requests, incoming shipments, and outgoing orders simultaneously
• You have experience in automotive parts, shipping and receiving, or warehouse operations -- and you're ready to bring that background to a busy dealership parts department
• You're physically capable and reliable -- this role requires both desk work and active warehouse duties throughout the shift

At Subaru of Santa Monica, the parts department supports a loyal, active guest base and a busy service operation. The Parts Advisor keeps that operation stocked, organized, and moving -- handling the counter, managing receiving and shipping, and making sure every technician and customer gets what they need without delay.

• Serve retail and internal customers at the counter and by phone -- providing accurate parts information, pricing, and availability with professionalism and efficiency
• Assist service technicians and advisors with parts lookup, ordering, and timely delivery to keep the service department productive
• Receive incoming parts shipments -- inspecting for accuracy and damage, checking against purchase orders, and processing inventory into the system
• Prepare and ship outgoing parts orders -- packaging, labeling, and coordinating with carriers accurately and on time
• Maintain bin organization, warehouse cleanliness, and inventory accuracy throughout the department
• Process parts orders, returns, warranty claims, and core submissions accurately in Reynolds & Reynolds
• Follow up on back-ordered and special-order parts -- communicating proactively with technicians and service advisors on status
• Support additional parts department duties as needed to keep the operation running efficiently

• Automotive parts counter or dealership experience preferred -- shipping, receiving, or warehouse backgrounds also strongly considered
• Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred -- familiarity with parts lookup and order processing in R&R is a significant advantage
• Subaru or import brand parts experience a plus
• Able to multitask effectively -- managing counter requests, phone inquiries, and warehouse duties simultaneously
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more -- receiving, stocking, and shipping are active parts of this role
• Detail-oriented and accurate -- parts transactions and inventory records need to be right every time
• Clear communicator who works effectively with technicians, advisors, and customers
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• $19 - $23/hr
