You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships.

This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.

The Cath Lab RN within the Cardiology Services department delivers comprehensive patient care across the pre-, intra- and post-procedural phases. Responsibilities include patient preparation, operation of advanced devices such as IABP, Impella, IVUS and atherectomy/thrombectomy systems, as well as continuous procedural monitoring and post-procedure recovery support.

The Cath Lab Clinical Nurse Per Diem embodies the essence of professional Registered Nursing, assuming both responsibility and accountability for patients within a designated time frame. Utilizing the nursing process and collaborative input from the healthcare team, our nurses delivers comprehensive care. They exemplify the professional standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA), actively engaging in ethical considerations, educational endeavors, evidence-based practice, and research.

Additionally, they champion quality improvement initiatives, demonstrate leadership prowess, foster collaboration among peers, evaluate professional practice, optimize resource utilization, promote environmental health, and advocate for patients as integral components of clinical nursing practice.

* May rotate to Ronald Reagan, Santa Monica and West Valley Hospitals to provide support as needed. Position has on-call responsibilities with the expectation of a 30 minute response time*

Salary Range: $96.74 Hourly
