Description

RN Nurse Manager of our Labor and Delivery unit at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This full‑time leadership position is part of a Magnet designated hospital dedicated to excellence in patient care. Our fast‑paced unit welcomes more than 2,200 babies into the world each year.

Responsibilities

Under general direction and in accordance with the State of California Nurse Practice Act, the RN Nurse Manager will:

  • Provide leadership, plan, and organize the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate personnel.
  • Manage resources, report on unit performance, and ensure quality delivery of care and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other department managers, and staff to communicate and coordinate care.
  • Perform related work as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • California Registered Nurse license upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital.
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
