The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Supervisor will provide and coordinate the care of Endocrinology patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provide education and support, as well as make appropriate referrals. Document services rendered.
NP Supervisor will also act as a resource for the clinical skills for staff, residents, and fellows for the Endocrinology patient. The NP supervisor will develop and coordinate orientation and on-going educational programs for all Endocrinology APPs. The NP Supervisor will assist in coordinating NP/PA student placements and preceptors. In collaboration with the Medical Director, the supervisor will interview hire and evaluate all Endocrinology APP staff.
The incumbent will collaborate with inpatient and ambulatory nursing and physician and organizational leadership to design and implement quality improvement projects, based on outcomes data and areas identified as needing improvement. This candidate will also collaborate with committees to best utilize the role of the advanced practice providers. The incumbent will have administrative, clinical, and fiscal operation of the Endocrinology APP service.
This position will also provide supervisory oversight for Advanced Practice Providers within the Dermatology and Rheumatology service lines.
Salary range: $148,700- $352,100 (annually)

- CA RN License-required

- CA Furnishing Number with Schedule II-required
- National Board Certification - AGPCNP, AGACNP, FNP, ANP-required
- Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Nursing

- 3 years of relevant experience in an endocrinology setting-required
- Ability to utilize Word, Excel and other software programs-required
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required

- Ability to set priorities-required
- Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
- Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
