About the RoleWe’re seeking a Research Project Manager, Gaming Research to join Beta Hat and help deliver high-quality custom research engagements for leading video game and entertainment brands. In this role, you’ll manage end-to-end project execution across qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods studies, partnering closely with senior researchers to ensure projects run smoothly and insights land clearly with clients.
This is a hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with regular time in our office for collaboration and team connection. Full remote candidates may be considered based on fit.
Research agency experience is a must for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day execution of custom research projects from kickoff through final delivery
- Own project plans, timelines, task tracking, and coordination across internal teams and external vendors
- Support research design and instrument development (discussion guides, screeners, surveys), ensuring quality and consistency
- Coordinate fieldwork logistics across qual and quant workflows, including recruitment partners and platform vendors
- Develop strong working relationships with clients through clear communication, proactive updates, and reliable follow-through
- Contribute to analysis and reporting by organizing inputs, synthesizing themes, QA'ing outputs, and supporting storytelling
- Help improve internal processes and templates to make the team faster, sharper, and more consistent across projects
- Project-ready: 3--4 years of experience in market research and consumer insights - specifically at a research supplier
- Methodologically fluent:
Comfortable supporting both qualitative and quantitative studies, even if you lean stronger in one area - Operationally strong:
