The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Research Associate for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Santa Monica, CA. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Title: Research Associate
Location: Santa Monica, CA
Pay Rate: $39.86/hour
Job Description
- Execute laboratory experiments according to established protocols and support automated laboratory workflows.
- Perform mammalian cell culture, cell counting, media preparation, and aseptic laboratory procedures.
- Prepare reagents, consumables, and experimental materials.
- Operate and support liquid handling and sample processing systems.
- Maintain experimental records using electronic laboratory notebooks and data management systems.
- Collect, organize, and perform basic quality checks on experimental data.
- Troubleshoot routine laboratory and automation workflow issues.
- Support inventory management, equipment maintenance, and laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to execute experiments and support research activities.
- Follow laboratory safety and compliance procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience may be considered.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in an academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or research environment.
- Mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
- Cell counting and media preparation.
- Laboratory experiment execution following established protocols.
- Reagent and sample preparation.
- Electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and laboratory data management systems.
- Laboratory documentation and experimental recordkeeping.
- Laboratory automation and liquid handling systems.
- Automated sample processing workflows.
- Cell-based assays.
- Flow cytometry sample preparation.
- Molecular biology techniques.
- Basic data analysis and visualization using Excel, Graph Pad Prism, or comparable tools.
- Routine laboratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Inventory management in a research laboratory.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary research workflows.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Conversion: Potential conversion at the end of 18 months based on business needs.
