Room Service - Server

This position is responsible for answering the telephone and taking food and beverage orders in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. Ensuring that guest checks have been settled and posted to the appropriate account.

• Delivers food and beverage orders in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Maintains guest rooms and corridors free of tables/trays.
• Requisition s food and beverage supplies, maintaining par levels at all times.
• Maintains stock of china, glass, silverware and napkins at appropriate levels.
• Arranges the set-up and delivers amenities as prescribed.
• Ensures that all liquor laws and health and sanitation codes are adhered to.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum One Year working in Food & Beverage experience.
• Must have a current food handler's card.
• Clean work habits and attention to detail.
• Resourceful and well organized.
• Ability to multi-task & maintain poise and a sense of humor amidst a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system, punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
• Standing and walking eight-hour shifts.
• Required, and must have open availability, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbally and written) in English with guests, co-workers, and management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
:

• The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Shall be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force to constantly move objects.
