General FunctionThe Licensed Team Lead creates exceptional value for customers and patients by delivering outstanding customer service. Ensures customers and patients are consistently delighted. Assists in achieving store success by managing key optical and lab processes (if applicable) and systems to deliver exceptional results.
Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesWhile working in Retail
- Ensure the Lens Crafters team provides unsurpassed customer service
- Proactive and solution-driven, accurate execution and product knowledge
- Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, assist sales associates
- Serve as a responsible alternate store key holder
Under current and valid state Opticianry license, perform the following: provide expertise and product knowledge on lens choices based on the patient's vision needs and OD prescription, adjust and/or repair eyewear as needed, present and dispense eyewear, perform accurate digital measurements
While working in Lab, if applicable
- Custom fits glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses
- Work with associates to strengthen their knowledge, skill, and certification for foundational product and store processes related to lens and lab technology
- Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
- Create a safe working environment for all; demonstrate safe work practices
- Responsible for basic operation, cleaning and ongoing maintenance of lab tools and systems
- HS diploma/GED
- Current and valid state Opticianry license
- Strong optical and retail experience
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise
- Strong communicator and listener
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong basic math skills
- Sales skills
- Problem solving ability
- Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators
- Leadership and training experience
- Edging and mounting experience
- Basic optics knowledge and optical measurement experience
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states
- Lens Crafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification
- Lens Crafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program
- Optical machinery/instruments experience
- Customer service experience
- Accu Fit Digital Measurement System certification
- Knowledge of current store merchandise and lens options
Pay Range: 25.02 – 39.02
This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
