Retail Asset Protection Specialist; Loss Prevention - Brentwood

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail and Sales Asset Protection, the Asset Protection Specialist is an integral role in our retail stores. The role focuses on security, asset protection, and the overall well‑being of facilities, employees, and customers, while overseeing operational functions and inventory control.

• Support safety and security processes and procedures, including business continuity plans.
• Use CCTV to review video for safety, investigations, and bring internal and external cases to closure.
• Help lead weekly inventory cycle counts and partner with inventory operations to reconcile inventory variances.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to ensure shortage control, safety, and adherence to all Asset Protection policies and procedures.
• Be physically responsible for the building’s security as a key holder, including off‑hour alarm response.
• Train current and new team members on AP processes and systems, ensuring proper compliance; guide new hires during onboarding.
• Collaborate with the entire store team to support business needs and Asset Protection initiatives.
• Work closely with store management to achieve store objectives.
• Investigate industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop AP strategies to stay ahead.
• Identify and document internal and external theft incidents.

• 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience.
• Strong understanding of physical security including CCTV, EAS, alarms, access control, lock and key.
• Ability to work well with all levels of management.
• Self‑starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a drive to provide a warm and welcoming environment.
• Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Availability to respond to alarm company calls and to be present after hours as needed.

• 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience in a Retail store setting.

The expected hourly rate for this role is $20.00-$25.07. Salary is just one component of our total rewards package; employees may also be eligible for bonus programs, incentive pay, and additional benefits.
