Senior Software Engineer

Our client is an automotive fintech startup building a modern marketplace for electric vehicles. Their platform enables consumers, dealers, and commercial partners to trade in, sell, and auction used EVs through infrastructure built specifically for electric vehicles, with nothing adapted from legacy automotive systems.

Founded in by former Tesla executives, the company has facilitated over $100M in EV sales since launch and recently raised a $20M Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. They are building an AI-native engineering organization focused on creating the transaction rails for the rapidly growing used EV market.

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a highly ownership-driven, full-stack role where engineers work end-to-end across products and systems in a fast-moving startup environment.

The team is building systems including:

• Real-time integrations with vehicle manufacturer APIs
• Auction marketplace infrastructure
• Large-scale EV data pipelines and warehouse systems

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in ambiguous, high-autonomy environments and enjoy solving problems across the stack.

• 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience
• Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and relational databases
• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code concepts
• Start-up experience with strong ownership mentality
• Engineers who actively use AI-assisted / agentic coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) in their daily workflow
• Strong product thinking and ability to prioritize independently in a fast-paced environment
