Substitute Teacher Position

Santa Paula Unified School District is seeking dedicated substitute teachers to support our schools on an as-needed basis. This is a part-time, flexible position—substitutes choose when and how often they work based on their availability. Position start date:
Mid-August 2025. Initial scheduled application review:
July 17, 2025. Ongoing hiring based on district needs.

Minimum requirement:
Emergency 30-day substitute teaching permit. To qualify, applicants must hold a valid Emergency 30-day substitute teaching permit, which authorizes individuals to substitute in grades preschool through 12th grade. To obtain the Emergency 30-day substitute teaching permit, you'll need: official transcripts showing a conferred bachelor's degree or higher and fingerprints cleared through the CTC VCOE can assist with the permit application process.
