Our client is looking for Senior Accountant to join their team full-time. You will play a vital role in enhancing automation within our financial systems and improving financial processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player with knowledge of job revenue and cost, GAAP, and internal controls. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Expected starting base salary $110,000 to $140,000 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Prepare Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and forecasts.
Analyze job budgets, costs, profits, revenues, billings, and backlogs.
Track, collect, and enter fixed asset data in Bloomberg Tax & Accounting software.
Perform month-end close activities, including job cost allocations, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Support the accounting team with annual audit documentation, respond to audit inquiries, and ensure timely year-end audit deliverables.
Conduct ongoing analytical reviews to support the monthly billing process.
Participate in process improvements and automation of manual processes to achieve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of combined accounting and construction industry experience.
Experience with Work in Progress schedules.
Experience with fixed asset management.
Experience with lease accounting.
Knowledge of GAAP accounting rules and standards.
Familiarity with Job Cost accounting principles.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
