Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant for a growth role within an established accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of properties and will be trained into further areas of the department. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

• Process, track and record, accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Record cash receipts, tenant payments, and bank deposits.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile tenant ledgers and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 02 years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-entity environment.
• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Starting salary between $55-60k depending on experience. This is a full-time in office position based in Santa Rosa.
