Senior Fund Accounting Manager
A growing private equity firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys owning the fund accounting process, leading complex reporting cycles, and partnering directly with senior finance and investment professionals. The firm is continuing to grow, creating an opportunity to help build scalable processes, mentor team members, and take on meaningful responsibility across a sophisticated fund platform.

- Lead the accounting, reporting, and close process for private equity funds and related entities
- Review fund-level financial statements, capital account activity, management fee calculations, carried interest, and waterfall allocations
- Oversee quarterly and annual investor reporting, including capital calls, distributions, notices, and financial packages
- Manage relationships with third-party fund administrators, auditors, tax providers, and other external partners
- Review fund expense allocations, investment activity, cash management, and reconciliations
- Support annual audit and tax processes, including preparation and review of schedules and supporting documentation
- Partner with internal teams on fund launches, closings, investments, exits, and other strategic transactions
- Improve internal controls, reporting processes, and fund accounting procedures as the firm scales
- Mentor and develop junior accounting team members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of fund accounting, private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, or public accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of private equity fund structures, capital activity, allocations, and investor reporting
- Experience working with fund administrators and reviewing administrator deliverables
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Strong Excel skills and experience with fund accounting platforms or general ledger systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of private equity fund structures, capital activity, allocations, and investor reporting
- Experience working with fund administrators and reviewing administrator deliverables
- Strong Excel skills and experience with fund accounting platforms or general ledger systems
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
