Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to oversee multiple multifamily construction projects across the North Bay. This role is responsible for construction execution, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance, while working closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and local agencies.
ResponsibilitiesThis role manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality goals. Responsibilities include leading field and project teams, overseeing all phases of construction from pre‑construction through closeout, managing schedules using Microsoft Project, and maintaining critical path timelines. The Area Construction Manager owns project budgets, forecasting, and cost control while coordinating subcontractors, materials, and logistics to prevent delays.
The position ensures compliance with OSHA safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations through regular job site oversight and quality control. The role also serves as a key point of contact for stakeholders, supports contract and invoice review, and provides regular reporting on project progress, budgets, and risks.
QualificationsCandidates should have at least five years of construction project management or field leadership experience, with multifamily construction. Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and construction documents is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Project. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. A valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites are required.
