Family owned construction management firm since 1997, licensed California General Building Contractor, focusing on schools and public works.
Job is for a highly motivated Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception to completion. The role requires managing DSA and K12 projects and ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Salary
: $130,000 - $160,000 per year
Responsibilities
Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.Review and analyze project specifications to determine cost-effective solutions and identify risks.Manage the project budget, including procurement of materials and services.Ensure quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.Prepare internal and external reports on job status, including detailed project status reports.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialists to create and implement project strategy.Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe site.Resolve problems that arise during construction, keeping the project on track.Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful elements for future use.Qualifications
Preferable, but not required, Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum five years of project management experience in construction, focusing on DSA and K12 projects.Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a team and manage subcontractors effectively.Excellent problem‑solving abilities and keen attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders.Proficiency in project management software and standard office software, including MS Office suite.Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.In‑depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.Familiarity with construction or project management software.Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.PMP or equivalent certification considered an advantage.Strong understanding of safety and building codes, and regulatory requirements.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
