Role Overview

We’re hiring a Residential Development Strategy Analyst to support Homebound’s national home product development, architecture, and market strategy efforts across Texas, California, Colorado, and Florida, with additional expansion planned across the U.S.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, architecture, data, and technology
. You’ll work closely with the Director, Home Product Development – Architecture + Strategy to support the execution of Homebound’s home product strategy and architectural principles, helping translate strategic direction into detailed product, architectural, and specification recommendations & decisions.

Homebound is both a home builder and a construction technology company
, and this role plays a key part in translating product and architectural strategy into structured systems, data, and tools that power how we design, build, and sell homes. You’ll help ensure our strategy is not only well-defined, but executable through our internal technology platform.

This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful influence on Homebound’s residential product.

Preference will be given to candidates located in one of our markets:
Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Tampa, FL, Los Angeles, CA or Denver, CO.

What You’ll Do Responsibilities
  • Market research and product analysis

    • Support research efforts for new and existing Homebound markets across multiple U.S. regions. Analyze performance data from previously built homes (pricing, absorption, revenue, etc.) to evaluate how past architectural, programmatic, and specification decisions have performed. Synthesize these insights with current market and design trends to inform product refreshes, specification updates, and the introduction of new home plans, elevations, and product offerings within active markets.

    • Support product development after a strategic decision has been made to enter a new market, using defined focus geographies. Conduct deep-dive analysis of target ZIP codes to identify architectural and design trends, competitive home programs, as well as spec level analysis, and translate that work into a clear product hypothesis and recommendation for home plans, elevations, and specifications.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze market data including:

    • Comparable communities and homes

    • Floor plans, square footage, bed/bath mixes, pricing, and absorption

    • Architectural styles, exterior compositions, and design trends

    • Specification levels, features, and construction approaches used by competitors

Home Product & Brand Strategy
  • This role is highly detail-oriented and execution-focused, centered on defining exactly what Homebound is offering in each market, the rationale behind those decisions, and how those offerings can be delivered consistently and cost-effectively.

  • The role will work closely with the Director to support Homebound’s home product strategy by translating architectural and product direction into clearly defined, detailed outputs, including plan assumptions, elevation approaches, and specification decisions.
