Paraprofessional Position
#1282 (.3 FTE) #1980 (.325 FTE) Under the direction of the principal and/or classroom teacher, develops special course materials and works with students individually or in small groups to instruct students in a classroom setting. Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic.
Requirements / QualificationsRequired:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to support instruction Organized, collaborative, under the guidance/support of a credentialed teacher, can provide small group reading instruction. Must pass Paraprofessional exam before employment offer. To schedule exam, contact Emilia Lopez at or EXT 80610 OR If you have 48 college credit units or more, you are exempt from taking the Paraprofessional exam. Attach college transcripts to application.
Desired:
Bilingual Prior experience working with youth or students in an educational environment is highly preferred (especially experience with special needs students). Background knowledge or specific classes taken in child development or early childhood education are considered beneficial. Comfortability operating computers and utilizing modern educational software. Strong interpersonal communication, patience, classroom adaptability, and organizational skills to manage materials and track student progress.

M-F 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
