District Special Education Coordinator
The District Special Education Coordinator, under the direction of the Executive Director, Special Services, will support the District provision of special education services and support administrators, parents and students with concerns related to the IEP process and compliance. The Coordinator will conduct and monitor the quality of IEPs completed by special education case managers. The Coordinator will also assist in monitoring the compliance of special education programs and IEPs.
The Coordinator will provide training and support to special education teachers, para-educators and itinerant staff as well as participate in special education meetings with associate principals, speech therapists, department chairs, and school psychologists. The Coordinator will assist with the formation of the SRCS SELPA. Job description is pending Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic.

Requirements/ Qualifications
Credential Requirements:
- California Administrative Credential - Five years of successful administrative experience Desirable
Qualifications:
Knowledge in areas of applicable laws, codes, regulations and behavior intervention experience in Coordinating and working with professional staff, parents, and community groups. Ability to assess the effectiveness of programs. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the staff and the public.
