Long-Term RSP Teacher (K–6) – In-Person | Santa Rosa, CA
Full-time | Long-Term Substitute | On-site Only
$75 per hour
August 6 – December 5
Hours per Day: 6.5
Days per Week:
Monday through Friday
Kindergarten through 6th Grade
Approximately 24 students
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher to provide specialized academic instruction and support to students with mild learning disabilities. This is a long-term substitute position covering a maternity leave, and it requires full in-person availability.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualized instruction based on students' IEP goals, with a focus on reading development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in alignment with IEP requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate support needs preferred)
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the special education process
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be comfortable working on-site daily
- Experience in a Resource Specialist role
- Familiarity with reading intervention strategies
