Special Education Teacher - Santa Rosa, CA

This full-time, contract placement offers the opportunity to work closely with students who exhibit behavioral needs, helping them achieve academic and personal growth throughout the school year.

What youll bring:

• Valid California CTC Certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education
• Previous experience supporting elementary students with behavioral challenges
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
• Adaptability, patience, and excellent communication skills

Your responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to each students IEP goals
• Track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed for optimal outcomes
• Employ a variety of proactive strategies and interventions to address behavioral needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Engage in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with all district and legal requirements
