We're seeking a Project Engineer with civil traffic and transportation design experience to support the delivery of roadway, highway, and multimodal infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced project managers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to all phases of project delivery - from planning and design through construction support - while continuing to grow your technical expertise and advance your career.
Based in San Jose, with hybrid or remote opportunities from our Redwood City or Pleasanton offices for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Design and coordination of transportation infrastructure projects including roadways, corridors, roundabouts, curbs, retaining walls, overpasses, transit facilities, and ADA curb ramps
- Design and coordination of traffic engineering projects including signal design, pavement marking/striping, signage, and multimodal corridor improvements
- Preparation of geometric design plans and profiles in compliance with Caltrans, local, and regional standards
- Development of grading, drainage, and stormwater management plans for transportation corridors
- Design of transportation-related utility systems and coordination with public agencies and utility providers
- Development of quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Integration of multimodal and sustainable design elements such as complete streets, green infrastructure, and ADA compliance
- Apply Federal, State (e.g. Caltrans), City, and County codes
- Preparation of conceptual design studies and alternatives analyses for roadway and multimodal improvements
