Wage

$24 – $28 per hour DOE with potential for overtime.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Answer customer and driver calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enter order data into the computer system.
  • Coordinate with customers, sales, quality control, operators, and other personnel as required regarding special materials needed, customer requirements, and plant and material availability.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of city streets and surrounding areas to assist drivers in locating specific job sites.
  • Assist customers in determining the proper product, amount, and price.
  • Receive and follow up on customer complaints regarding any truck or driver problems at job sites.
  • Build a strong rapport with customers, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure regular and timely attendance.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must pass pre‑employment controlled substance testing. Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as non‑safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer‑required pre‑employment drug screening that does not include testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi‑task and prioritize workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with all departments and customers on the phone and in person. Detail‑oriented and thorough in all duties and able to work extended hours when needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and telephone skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work well in a high stress environment.
Work Environment
  • Office setting
  • This position is largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers.
  • To avoid injuries to hands, back, and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
