Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care, focusing on labor and post-partum care within an acute care hospital setting. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The RN will work within a 1:3 patient ratio and may be required to float between similar units.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in labor and post-partum.
- Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in Epic.
- Assist patients in their routine activities of daily living.
- Collect patient data and specimens.
- Communicate patient status and report changes in patient condition to licensed professional.
- Assist patient care team by performing and explaining designated patient care procedures.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.

- AWHONN Advanced certification.

Special Considerations:

- May be required to float between like units.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
- Royal Blue or Navy blue scrubs required.

Scheduling:
- 36 hours per week, 4x12 shifts may be accommodated upon request.
- Orientation is 36 hours.
