UI​/UX Engineer

Overview

Keysight Technologies is seeking a versatile UI/UX Designer and Writer who brings together strong design skills, thoughtful UX research capabilities, and the ability to create clear, polished customer-facing documentation. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to shape intuitive, scalable user experiences across the Keysight Support Portal and related products. You'll also play a key role in helping customers understand and navigate our solutions through well-crafted documentation, visual guidance, and instructional content.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer-Facing Documentation & Video Production
  • Develop accurate, concise, and user-friendly UI documentation to support new and existing product features.
  • Create annotated screens, workflow explanations, release notes, and feature guides that clearly communicate functionality.
  • Produce customer-facing help videos, including scripting, structuring content, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and visual quality.
  • Work with Support, Product, and Enablement teams to maintain alignment and ensure documentation reflects the latest product updates.
  • Ensure all documentation and video content meet accessibility, ADA, and readability standards for a wide range of users.
• UI/UX Design
  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
  • Contribute to and maintain the Keysight design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support accurate design implementation and develop robust handoff documentation.
  • Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards, including WCAG and ADA compliance, with attention to color contrast, keyboard navigation, semantic structure, and inclusive UX principles.
• UX Research
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesize user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and heuristic evaluations.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy and design decisions.
  • Partner with product managers to validate concepts, define success metrics, and measure user experience outcomes.
  • Present research insights to stakeholders in a clear and structured format.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Technical Communication, or a related discipline; equivalent real-world experience will be considered.
